Choosing the right photo booth can be a mind-boggling task for today’s bride. To make your life easier, we’ll point you in the right direction and let you know what to look for in a high-quality booth, as well as the company that stands behind it.

Camera Type?

A great company can provide a great camera to take your pictures. We’re not talking about a point-and-shoot! You want a DSLR to take your pictures. These cameras have the best settings and as any professional photographer will tell you, they take the best pictures. Why settle on a webcam or a point-and-shoot? Many companies use these inferior cameras, so it’s best to ask what type will be used for your event.

Tip: Your also going to want a big bright flash!

The Photo Booth Screen – Touch or Button activated? Or neither?

The actual screen you look at should show your face in a “mirrored” style. This will allow guests to check how they look and really adds excitement to the moment they are in the booth. We’ve seen some booths that don’t allow you to preview your picture and we must say, they are boring! A great booth will also let you select black and white or color as well as how many guests are in the booth. Some booth companies don’t even have a screen! So check out the booth before!

The Printer

Most companies use a printer called a dye-sublimation printer. These print out photo-quality prints that will last a life-time. Any other printer should be avoided.

The Booth

There are a vast array of booths out there. Choose one that fits your atmosphere. Some are flashy, while others blend into your room. Depending upon other focal points of your reception room, decide whether you want the booth to stand out or blend-in.

Fun Add-Ons

Most companies should be able to provide fresh add-ons. By fresh, I mean props that are new and ready to be worn for the first time! Scrapbooks and keepsake flashdrives should also be added to your package because this is the one and only time you’ll get to experience your wedding!

Logo Creation

Have a bright colored logo stand out at the bottom with your names. Your company should offer this at no charge. Most logos are already available to your company as templates; they just have to change the names. They should also offer to do custom work as well.

Customer Service

Finally, your photo booth company, like all your other vendors, should be friendly, outgoing and willing to go that extra mile to make your special day, special. There should always be an employee, appropriately dressed, attending the booth.
